AURORA HOUSEBOATS TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Here are the policies of our company. (Revised March 2006) Please read carefully.
RESERVATIONS
- A Reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of: 1) a $600 deposit for 3 & 4 day charters or a $1000 deposit for full week charters; deposits can be paid by cash, cheque or Credit Card. 2) the return of our "All Policies Acknowledged And Agreement Form" completely filled out and signed and returned.
- If cancellation of your charter is made more than 60 days to charter date, the deposit less a $100 booking fee will be refunded; if less than 60 days to charter date the full deposit is non-refundable. If cancellation is less than 45 days to charter date the full charter rate must still be paid in full.
- No reservations will be made to persons under 21 years of age.
- SORRY, NO PETS ALLOWED ON BOARD
BOARDING
- The balance of the charter fee is due prior to boarding.
- Boarding time is 10:00am returning to dock by 4:00pm. Late return fees $100/hour.
- Early boarding $125 (limited availability) at 8:00pm or when boat is cleaned on the day before departure. The boat stays tied to main dock for the night.
- Complete instructions will be given on the operation of the boat in the morning before you assume command.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT
- A $500 damage deposit is required prior to boarding. It will be applied to - damage to the prop or houseboat - lost, broken or damaged inventory - an excessively unclean boat.
INSURANCE
- Aurora Houseboats Ltd. carries a comprehensive insurance policy. There is a surcharge of $25 per day of the rental. Should any loss or damage occur, the client is only responsible for paying the first $800 of the deductible.
BREAKDOWN - WEATHER
- The client shall have no claim upon the company as a result of any grounding or breakdown or failure of the boat, engine or equipment. When such incident is caused by the negligence of the client, the company shall have the right to make claim upon the client in respect to expenses involved in rectifying the matter.
- The company is not responsible for inclement or undesirable weather.
- If, due to circumstances beyond our control, we cannot supply the client with the boat chartered or a suitable alternative, the company will refund all charter fees.
ADDITIONAL EXPENSES
- Fuel and insurance are your only additional expenses, fuel is paid at the end of your charter.
- Propane, septic pump-out and parking are provided at no additional charge.
ON THE BOAT
- You will find cooking utensils, dishes and cutlery, cleaning supplies, tea towels and dish cloths, garbage bags, toilet tissue, AM/FM CD Player, VHF radio, life jackets, life ring, fire extinguishers, map of the lake, tie-down ropes, propane barbecue, pressurized hot and cold water system, lawn chairs and forced air furnace.
WHAT TO BRING
- You will need pillows, linen and blankets, towels, camera, binoculars, flashlight, first aid kit, compact discs, fishing gear, cards and games, insect repellent, and food.
